This campaign was a double-pronged approach supported by Karmarama to not only encouraging new loyalty sign ups, but also to advise those that already had cards that there were 1.8 million unclaimed rewards sitting on cards throughout the country. Given that we knew that average ticket values for those redeeming rewards would average between 18%-24% higher than non-redemption transactions, we really wanted those rewards redeemed!
How did we do it? Well, by placing huge Nando's cards on billboards around the country for people to go and rip down for free food - naturally! We got some awesome ‘hidden camera’ footage, creating a really nice social and PR moment, of people hunting down these massive loyalty cards with friends (or strangers) and pulling them down before struggling with them to the nearest Nando’s to claim their free meal!
